When the people cried to Moses, he ¹  prayed to the Lord, and the fire died out. ²

Israel was so severely weakened by Midian that the Israelites cried out to the Lord for help.

The king covered his face and cried out loudly, ¹  “My son, Absalom! Absalom, my son, my son!”

King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz prayed about this and cried out to heaven.

for I rescued the poor who cried out for help, and the orphan who ¹  had no one to assist him;
