“Who is this ¹  who darkens counsel ²  with words without knowledge?

Plans ¹  are established by counsel, so ²  make war ³  with guidance.

“With God ¹  are wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his. ² 

His vigorous steps ¹  are restricted, ²  and his own counsel throws him down. ³ 

To ¹  learn ²  wisdom ³  and moral instruction, ⁴  and to discern ⁵  wise counsel. ⁶ 

Counsel and sound wisdom belong to me; ¹  I possess understanding and might.

Leave the presence of a foolish person, ¹  or ²  you will not understand ³  wise counsel. ⁴ 

Plans fail ¹  when there is no counsel, but with abundant advisers they are established. ² 

The delight of kings ¹  is righteous counsel, ²  and they love the one who speaks ³  uprightly. ⁴ 

One who acts wickedly ¹  pays attention to evil counsel; ²  a liar listens ³  to a malicious tongue. ⁴ 

Have I not written thirty sayings ¹  for you, sayings ²  of counsel and knowledge,

He catches ¹  the wise in their own craftiness, ²  and the counsel of the cunning ³  is brought to a quick end. ⁴ 

But their prosperity is not their own doing. ¹  The counsel of the wicked is far from me! ² 

Therefore ¹  they will eat from the fruit ²  of their way, ³  and they will be stuffed full ⁴  of their own counsel.

He stores up ¹  effective counsel ²  for the upright, ³  and is like ⁴  a shield ⁵  for those who live ⁶  with integrity, ⁷ 

for one who goes astray ¹  is an abomination ²  to the Lord, but he reveals ³  his intimate counsel ⁴  to the upright.

Counsel ¹  in a person’s heart ²  is like ³  deep water, ⁴  but an understanding person ⁵  draws it out.

There is no wisdom and there is no understanding, and there is no counsel against ¹  the Lord. ² 

Ointment and incense make the heart rejoice, ¹  likewise the sweetness of one’s friend from sincere counsel. ² 

But it was he ¹  who filled their houses with good things – yet the counsel of the wicked ²  was far from me. ³
