You will perish among the nations; the land of your enemies will consume you.

“Separate yourselves ¹  from among this community, ²  that I may consume them in an instant.”

Like the fire that burns down the forest, or the flames that consume the mountainsides, ¹ 

They consume their alcohol, then engage in cult prostitution; they dearly love their shameful behavior.

So I will set Gaza’s city wall ¹  on fire; fire ²  will consume her fortresses.

So I will set fire to Tyre’s city wall; ¹  fire ²  will consume her fortresses.”

So I will set Teman ¹  on fire; fire ²  will consume Bozrah’s ³  fortresses.”
