Command and teach these things.

He answered them, ¹  “What did Moses command you?”

This ¹  I command you – to love one another.

I say this as a concession, not as a command.

Having no regard ¹  for the command of God, you hold fast to human tradition.” ² 

for it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you, to protect you,’ ¹ 

You are my friends ¹  if you do what I command you.

to obey ¹  this command ²  without fault or failure until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ

On the one hand a former command is set aside ¹  because it is weak and useless, ² 

The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become bread.” ¹ 

They said to him, “Why then did Moses command us to give a certificate of dismissal and to divorce her?” ¹ 

The devil said to him, “If ¹  you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” ² 

To the married I give this command – not I, but the Lord ¹  – a wife should not divorce a husband

From Paul, ¹  an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior ²  and of Christ Jesus our hope,

So, although I have quite a lot of confidence in Christ and could command you to do what is proper,

If anyone considers himself a prophet or spiritual person, he should acknowledge that what I write to you is the Lord’s command.

I am not saying this as a command, but I am testing the genuineness of your love by comparison with the eagerness of others. ¹ 

For even when we were with you, we used to give you this command: “If anyone is not willing to work, neither should he eat.”

Now such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to work quietly and so provide their own food to eat. ¹ 

But now in his own time ¹  he has made his message evident through the preaching I was entrusted with according to the command of God our Savior.
