“Hey, ¹  all who are thirsty, come to the water! You who have no money, come! Buy and eat! Come! Buy wine and milk without money and without cost! ² 

So ten of Joseph’s brothers went down to buy grain from Egypt.

But they exclaimed, ¹  “No, my lord! Your servants have come to buy grain for food!

They said, “My lord, we did indeed come down ¹  the first time ²  to buy food.

“Then our father said, ‘Go back and buy us a little food.’

including craftsmen, builders, and masons, and should buy wood and chiseled stone for the repair work. ¹ 

We have submitted ¹  to Egypt and Assyria in order to buy food to eat. ² 

‘Hanamel, the son of your uncle Shallum, will come to you soon. He will say to you, “Buy my field at Anathoth because you are entitled ¹  as my closest relative to buy it.”’ ² 

People from every country ¹  came to Joseph in Egypt to buy grain because the famine was severe throughout the earth.

If you send ¹  our brother with us, we’ll go down and buy food for you.

We must pay money ¹  for our own water; ²  we must buy our own wood at a steep price. ³ 

He then said, “Look, I hear that there is grain in Egypt. Go down there and buy grain for us ¹  so that we may live ²  and not die.” ³ 

So Israel’s sons came to buy grain among the other travelers, ¹  for the famine was severe in the land of Canaan.

When they finished eating the grain they had brought from Egypt, their father said to them, “Return, buy us a little more food.”

We have brought additional money with us to buy food. We do not know who put the money in our sacks!”

¹ “If you buy ²  a Hebrew servant, ³  he is to serve you for six years, but in the seventh year he will go out free ⁴  without paying anything. ⁵ 

If you make a sale ¹  to your fellow citizen ²  or buy ³  from your fellow citizen, no one is to wrong his brother. ⁴ 

“‘As for your male and female slaves ¹  who may belong to you – you may buy male and female slaves from the nations all around you. ² 

Surging waters cannot quench love; floodwaters ¹  cannot overflow it. If someone were to offer all his possessions ²  to buy love, ³  the offer ⁴  would be utterly despised. ⁵ 

The Lord said to me, “Go and buy some linen shorts ¹  and put them on. ²  Do not put them in water.” ³
