I testify about myself ¹  and the Father who sent me testifies about me.”

While this was happening, ¹  the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching. ² 

At that time Herod the tetrarch ¹  heard reports about Jesus,

Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you when he said,

Then ¹  he warned them not to tell anyone about him. ² 

He asked them, “What are you arguing about with them?”

But Jesus ¹  was speaking about the temple of his body. ² 

“If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true.

Jesus replied, ¹  “Do not complain about me to one another. ² 

(Now there were about twelve men in all.) ¹ 

But you did not learn about Christ like this,

Keep thinking about things above, not things on the earth,

So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. ¹ 

They appeared in glorious splendor and spoke about his departure ¹  that he was about to carry out ²  at Jerusalem. ³ 

There is another ¹  who testifies about me, and I know the testimony he testifies about me is true.

(Now Jesus had been talking about ¹  his death, but they ²  thought he had been talking about real sleep.) ³ 

Each of you should be concerned ¹  not only ²  about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well. ³ 

Why do you worry about clothing? Think about how the flowers ¹  of the field grow; they do not work ²  or spin.

Herod said, “I had John ¹  beheaded, but who is this about whom I hear such things?” So Herod wanted to learn about Jesus. ² 

(Now about five thousand men ¹  were there.) ²  Then ³  he said to his disciples, “Have ⁴  them sit down in groups of about fifty each.”
