“You shall not covet ¹  your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that belongs to your neighbor.” ² 

You must not desire ¹  another man’s ²  wife, nor should you crave his ³  house, his field, his male and female servants, his ox, his donkey, or anything else he owns.” ⁴ 

When you go into the ripe grain fields of your neighbor you may pluck off the kernels with your hand, ¹  but you must not use a sickle on your neighbor’s ripe grain.

The one ¹  who flatters ²  his neighbor spreads a net ³  for his steps. ⁴ 

‘Cursed is the one who moves his neighbor’s boundary marker.’ Then all the people will say, ‘Amen!’

“You shall not give ¹  false testimony ²  against your neighbor.

You must not offer false testimony against another. ¹ 

You must not have sexual intercourse ¹  with the wife of your fellow citizen to become unclean with her.

Instruct ¹  the people that each man and each woman is to request ²  from his or her neighbor ³  items of silver and gold.” ⁴ 

“If a man gives his neighbor money or articles ¹  for safekeeping, ²  and it is stolen from the man’s house, if the thief is caught, ³  he must repay double.

They are like lusty, well-fed ¹  stallions. Each of them lusts after ²  his neighbor’s wife.

We have become an object of disdain to our neighbors; those who live on our borders taunt and insult us. ¹ 

Pay back our neighbors in full! ¹  May they be insulted the same way they insulted you, O Lord! ² 

All who pass by ¹  have robbed him; he has become an object of disdain to his neighbors.

Do not plot ¹  evil against your neighbor when ²  he dwells by you unsuspectingly.

The one who despises his neighbor sins, but whoever is kind to the needy is blessed.

The appetite ¹  of the wicked desires ²  evil; his neighbor is shown no favor ³  in his eyes.

Do not be a witness against your neighbor without cause, ¹  and do not deceive with your words. ² 

honor your father and mother, ¹  and love your neighbor as yourself.” ² 

But the expert, ¹  wanting to justify ²  himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
