Awake, O stringed instrument and harp! I will wake up at dawn! ¹ 

If I were to fly away ¹  on the wings of the dawn, ²  and settle down on the other side ³  of the sea,

My skin has turned dark on me; ¹  my body ²  is hot with fever. ³ 

Have you ever in your life ¹  commanded the morning, or made the dawn know ²  its place,

Its snorting throws out flashes of light; its eyes are like the red glow ¹  of dawn.

Awake, my soul! ¹  Awake, O stringed instrument and harp! I will wake up at dawn! ² 

The one who diligently seeks ¹  good seeks favor, but the one who searches ²  for evil – it will come to him. ³ 

Let its morning stars ¹  be darkened; let it wait ²  for daylight but find none, ³  nor let it see the first rays ⁴  of dawn,

“Who ¹  is this who appears ²  like the dawn? ³  Beautiful as the moon, ⁴  bright ⁵  as the sun, awe-inspiring ⁶  as the stars in procession?” ⁷ 

Then you must recall the Lord’s instructions and the prophetic testimony of what would happen. ¹  Certainly they say such things because their minds are spiritually darkened. ² 

Look how you have fallen from the sky, O shining one, son of the dawn! ¹  You have been cut down to the ground, O conqueror ²  of the nations! ³ 

the deep waters! ¹  Grain from the Shihor region, ²  crops grown near the Nile ³  she receives; ⁴  she is the trade center ⁵  of the nations.

If, as far as the priest can see, the scall has stayed the same ¹  and black hair has sprouted in it, the scall has been healed; the person is clean. So the priest is to pronounce him clean. ² 

But if the priest examines the scall infection and it does not appear to be deeper than the skin, ¹  and there is no black hair in it, then the priest is to quarantine the person with the scall infection for seven days. ² 

For here he is! He ¹  formed the mountains and created the wind. He reveals ²  his plans ³  to men. He turns the dawn into darkness ⁴  and marches on the heights of the earth. The Lord, the God who commands armies, ⁵  is his name!”
