Then Israel sang ¹  this song: “Spring up, O well, sing to it!

So on that day Moses wrote down this song and taught it to the Israelites,

Then Moses recited the words of this song from start to finish in the hearing of the whole assembly of Israel.

Now write down for yourselves the following song and teach it to the Israelites. Put it into their very mouths so that this song may serve as my witness against the Israelites!

Then Moses went with Joshua ¹  son of Nun and recited all the words of this song to the people.

¹ David sang ²  to the Lord the words of this song when ³  the Lord rescued him from the power ⁴  of all his enemies, including Saul. ⁵ 

¹ Then Moses and the Israelites sang ²  this song to the Lord. They said, ³  “I will sing ⁴  to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously, ⁵  the horse and its rider ⁶  he has thrown into the sea.

For the music director; by the Lord’s servant David, who sang ²  to the Lord the words of this song when ³  the Lord rescued him from the power ⁴  of all his enemies, including Saul. ⁵  He said: ⁶  “I love ⁷  you, Lord, my source of strength! ⁸ 

Then when ¹  many disasters and distresses overcome them ²  this song will testify against them, ³  for their ⁴  descendants will not forget it. ⁵  I know the ⁶  intentions they have in mind ⁷  today, even before I bring them ⁸  to the land I have promised.”
