The Lord continued, 1 “Now break the jar in front of those who have come here with you.
But the woman hid the two men 1 and replied, “Yes, these men were clients of mine, 2 but I didn’t know where they came from.
These are the names of the men: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;
The men examined 1 some of their provisions, but they failed to ask the Lord’s advice. 2
The people gave their blessing on all the men who volunteered to settle in Jerusalem.
When the men got up to leave, 1 they looked out over 2 Sodom. (Now 3 Abraham was walking with them to see them on their way.) 4
The two men turned 1 and headed 2 toward Sodom, but Abraham was still standing before the Lord. 3
So the men inside 1 reached out 2 and pulled Lot back into the house 3 as they shut the door.
The man did just as Joseph said; he 1 brought the men into Joseph’s house. 2
