Confirm to your servant your promise, ¹  which you made to the one who honors you. ² 

ז (Zayin) Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.

May your loyal love console me, as you promised your servant. ¹ 

“Your servant our father is well,” they replied. “He is still alive.” They bowed down in humility. ¹ 

Now, O God of Israel, may the promise you made ¹  to your servant, my father David, be realized. ²

So give your servant a discerning mind ¹  so he can make judicial decisions for ²  your people and distinguish right from wrong. ³  Otherwise ⁴  no one is able ⁵  to make judicial decisions for ⁶  this great nation of yours.” ⁷ 

So the Lord said to Solomon, “Because you insist on doing these things and have not kept the covenantal rules I gave you, ¹  I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant.

Naaman said, “If not, then please give your servant a load of dirt, enough for a pair of mules to carry, ¹  for your servant will never again offer a burnt offering or sacrifice to a god other than the Lord. ²
