The discerning person ¹  acquires knowledge, and the wise person ²  seeks ³  knowledge.

Can anyone teach ¹  God knowledge, since ²  he judges those that are on high? ³ 

To impart ¹  shrewdness ²  to the morally naive, ³  and ⁴  a discerning ⁵  plan ⁶  to the young person. ⁷ 

By his knowledge the primordial sea ¹  was broken open, ²  and the clouds drip down dew. ³ 

in order to safeguard ¹  discretion, ²  and that your lips may guard knowledge.

All of them are clear ¹  to the discerning and upright to those who find knowledge.

The naive inherit ¹  folly, but the shrewd ²  are crowned ³  with knowledge.

Have I not written thirty sayings ¹  for you, sayings ²  of counsel and knowledge,

Apply ¹  your heart to instruction and your ears to the words of knowledge.

I have not learned wisdom, nor do I have knowledge ¹  of the Holy One. ² 

You have destroyed ¹  my people by failing to acknowledge me! Because you refuse to acknowledge me, ²  I will reject you as my priests. Because you reject ³  the law of your God, I will reject ⁴  your descendants.

although you know ¹  that I am not guilty, and that there is no one who can deliver ²  out of your hand?

What you know, ¹  I ²  know also; I am not inferior ³  to you!

“Does a wise man answer with blustery knowledge, ¹  or fill his belly ²  with the east wind? ³ 

So they say to God, ‘Turn away from us! We do not want to ¹  know your ways. ² 

My words come from the uprightness of my heart, ¹  and my lips will utter knowledge sincerely. ² 

that ¹  Job speaks without knowledge and his words are without understanding. ² 

So Job opens his mouth to no purpose; ¹  without knowledge he multiplies words.”

But if they refuse to listen, they pass over the river of death, ¹  and expire without knowledge.

“Who is this ¹  who darkens counsel ²  with words without knowledge?
