So she went down to the threshing floor and did everything her mother-in-law had instructed her to do. ¹ 

Can you count on ¹  it to bring in ²  your grain, ³  and gather the grain ⁴  to your threshing floor? ⁵ 

Threshing floors and wine vats will not feed the people, ¹  and new wine only deceives them. ² 

The threshing floors are full of grain; the vats overflow with fresh wine and olive oil.

You must offer up a cake of the first of your finely ground flour ¹  as a raised offering; as you offer the raised offering of the threshing floor, so you must offer it up.

And your raised offering will be credited ¹  to you as though it were grain from the threshing floor or as new wine ²  from the winepress.

“Therefore you will say to them, ¹  ‘When you offer up ²  the best of it, then it will be credited to the Levites as the product of the threshing floor and as the product of the winepress.

You must supply them generously ¹  from your flock, your threshing floor, and your winepress – as the Lord your God has blessed you, you must give to them.

You must celebrate the Festival of Temporary Shelters ¹  for seven days, at the time of the grain and grape harvest. ² 

They told David, “The Philistines are fighting in Keilah and are looting the threshing floors.”
