By the breath ¹  of God they perish, ²  and by the blast ³  of his anger they are consumed.

where then ¹  is my hope? And my hope, ²  who sees it?

Thus ¹  his anger burns against me, and he considers me among his enemies. ² 

A flood will carry off his house, rushing waters on the day of God’s wrath.

Yet the Lord’s great anger against Judah did not subside; he was still infuriated by all the things Manasseh had done. ¹

lest the Lord see it, and be displeased, ¹  and turn his wrath away from him. ² 

When Zebul, the city commissioner, heard the words of Gaal son of Ebed, he was furious. ¹ 

The Spirit of God rushed upon Saul when he heard these words, and he became very angry.

The depths ¹  of the sea were exposed; the inner regions ²  of the world were uncovered by the Lord’s battle cry, ³  by the powerful breath from his nose. ⁴

“While he is ¹  filling his belly, God ²  sends his burning anger ³  against him, and rains down his blows upon him. ⁴ 

With Job’s ¹  three friends he was also angry, because they could not find ²  an answer, and so declared Job guilty. ³ 

But when Elihu saw ¹  that the three men had no further reply, ²  he became very angry.
