Abraham had taken ¹  another ²  wife, named Keturah.

Then the priest must offer it up in smoke on the altar as a food gift to the Lord. ¹ 

He must take a wife who is a virgin. ¹ 

Five curtains are to be joined, ¹  one to another, ²  and the other ³  five curtains are to be joined, one to another.

A woman must not wear men’s clothing, ¹  nor should a man dress up in women’s clothing, for anyone who does this is offensive ²  to the Lord your God.

Judah acquired ¹  a wife for Er his firstborn; her name was Tamar.

“‘You must not approach a woman in her menstrual impurity ¹  to have sexual intercourse with her.

You must not have sexual intercourse with a male as one has sexual intercourse with a woman; ¹  it is a detestable act. ² 

You must not do any regular work, but ¹  you must present a gift to the Lord.’”

Suppose a man marries a woman, has sexual relations with her, ¹  and then rejects ²  her,

Samson went down to Timnah, where a Philistine girl caught his eye. ¹ 

“Man, born of woman, ¹  lives but a few days, ²  and they are full of trouble. ³ 

What is man that he should be pure, or one born of woman, that he should be righteous?

A man who commits adultery with a woman lacks wisdom, ¹  whoever does it destroys his own life. ² 

Suddenly ¹  a woman came out to meet him! She was dressed like a prostitute ²  and with secret intent. ³ 

Like a gold ring ¹  in a pig’s snout ²  is ³  a beautiful woman who rejects ⁴  discretion. ⁵ 

The one who finds ¹  a wife finds what is enjoyable, ²  and receives a pleasurable gift ³  from the Lord. ⁴ 

A foolish child ¹  is the ruin of his father, and a contentious wife ²  is like ³  a constant dripping. ⁴ 

A house and wealth are inherited from parents, ¹  but a prudent wife ²  is from the Lord.
