So Saul said, “Bring me the burnt offering and the peace offerings.” Then he offered a burnt offering.

Next, the one presenting the offering ¹  must skin the burnt offering and cut it into parts,

He then presented the burnt offering, and did it according to the standard regulation. ¹ 

Then the priest must take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and he must pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering.

Do you wish to torment ¹  a windblown ²  leaf and chase after dry chaff? ³ 

There was a chamber with its door by the porch of the gate; ¹  there they washed the burnt offering.

“The priest must then perform the sin offering ¹  and make atonement for the one being cleansed from his impurity. After that he ²  is to slaughter the burnt offering,

and the priest is to offer ¹  the burnt offering and the grain offering on the altar. So the priest is to make atonement for him and he will be clean.

You must also prepare one-fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering ¹  with the burnt offering or the sacrifice for each lamb. ²
