“I have made your face adamant ¹  to match their faces, and your forehead hard to match their foreheads.

So he saves ¹  from the sword that comes from their mouth, ²  even ³  the poor from the hand of the powerful.

will you, with him, spread out ¹  the clouds, solid as a mirror of molten metal?

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh, ¹  for compelled by my strong hand ²  he will release them, and by my strong hand he will drive them out of his land.” ³ 

So Elijah went to make an appearance before Ahab. Now the famine was severe in Samaria. ¹ 

with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, for his loyal love endures,

for their Protector ¹  is strong; he will plead their case against you. ² 

But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go, ¹  not even under force. ² 

But he said, “You may not pass through.” Then Edom came out against them ¹  with a large and powerful force. ² 

you must say to them, ¹  “We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt, but the Lord brought us out of Egypt in a powerful way. ² 

Therefore the Lord brought us out of Egypt with tremendous strength and power, ¹  as well as with great awe-inspiring signs and wonders.

and he displayed great power ¹  and awesome might in view of all Israel. ² 

They are your servants and your people, whom you have redeemed by your mighty strength and by your powerful hand.

In anger, in fury, and in wrath I myself will fight against you with my mighty power and great strength! ¹ 

For the Lord will rescue the descendants of Jacob. He will secure their release ¹  from those who had overpowered them. ² 

Fast runners will find no place to hide; ¹  strong men will have no strength left; ²  warriors will not be able to save their lives.

and see ¹  what the land is like, ²  and whether the people who live in it are strong or weak, few or many,

But the men ¹  who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against these people, because they are stronger than we are!”

I prayed to him: ¹  O, Lord God, ²  do not destroy your people, your valued property ³  that you have powerfully redeemed, ⁴  whom you brought out of Egypt by your strength. ⁵ 

He has done this so ¹  all the nations ²  of the earth might recognize the Lord’s power ³  and so you might always obey ⁴  the Lord your God.”
