So the centurion 1 took him and brought him to the commanding officer 2 and said, “The prisoner Paul called 3 me and asked me to bring this young man to you because he has something to tell you.”
They were on the way, going up to Jerusalem. 1 Jesus was going ahead of them, and they were amazed, but those who followed were afraid. He took the twelve aside again and began to tell them what was going to happen to him.
Then Paul took the men the next day, 1 and after he had purified himself 2 along with them, he went to the temple and gave notice 3 of the completion of the days of purification, 4 when 5 the sacrifice would be offered for each 6 of them.
