Just as you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world. ¹ 

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, ¹  but that the world should be saved through him.

I came from the Father and entered into the world, but in turn, ¹  I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.” ² 

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him,

And when he ¹  comes, he will prove the world wrong ²  concerning sin and ³  righteousness and ⁴  judgment –

Absolutely not! For otherwise how could God judge the world?

For we have brought nothing into this world and so ¹  we cannot take a single thing out either.

If anyone ¹  hears my words and does not obey them, ²  I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world. ³ 

because ¹  everyone ²  who has been fathered by God ³  conquers ⁴  the world. ⁵ This ⁶  is the conquering power ⁷  that has conquered ⁸  the world: our faith.

For what benefit is it for a person ¹  to gain the whole world, yet ²  forfeit his life?

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

For what does it benefit a person ¹  if he gains the whole world but loses or forfeits himself?

The true light, who gives light to everyone, ¹  was coming into the world. ² 

those who use the world as though they were not using it to the full. For the present shape of this world is passing away.

So when he came into the world, he said, “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me.

I tell you the truth, ¹  wherever the gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”

Now when the people saw the miraculous sign that Jesus ¹  performed, they began to say to one another, “This is certainly the Prophet ²  who is to come into the world.” ³ 

do you say about the one whom the Father set apart ¹  and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?

She replied, ¹  “Yes, Lord, I believe ²  that you are the Christ, ³  the Son of God who comes into the world.” ⁴ 

I have come as a light into the world, so that everyone who believes in me should not remain in darkness.
