until the day he was taken up to heaven, ¹  after he had given orders ²  by ³  the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen.

But God chose what the world thinks foolish to shame the wise, and God chose what the world thinks weak to shame the strong.

but one thing ¹  is needed. Mary has chosen the best ²  part; it will not be taken away from her.”

For ¹  he chose us in Christ ²  before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished ³  in his sight ⁴  in love. ⁵
