When the seven thunders spoke, I was preparing to write, but ¹  just then ²  I heard a voice from heaven say, “Seal up what the seven thunders spoke and do not write it down.”

And all the prophets, from Samuel and those who followed him, have spoken about and announced ¹  these days.

Then ¹  they spoke the word of the Lord ²  to him, along with all those who were in his house.

As an example of suffering and patience, brothers and sisters, ¹  take the prophets who spoke in the Lord’s name.

for no prophecy was ever borne of human impulse; rather, men ¹  carried along by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

So ¹  he said to them, “You ²  foolish people ³  – how slow of heart ⁴  to believe ⁵  all that the prophets have spoken!

Remember your leaders, who spoke God’s message to you; reflect on the outcome of their lives and imitate their faith.

Then ¹  he shouted in a loud voice like a lion roaring, and when he shouted, the seven thunders sounded their voices.

I have experienced ¹  help from God to this day, and so I stand testifying to both small and great, saying nothing except ²  what the prophets and Moses said ³  was going to happen:

to execute judgment on ¹  all, and to convict every person ²  of all their thoroughly ungodly deeds ³  that they have committed, ⁴  and of all the harsh words that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” ⁵
