But Jesus ¹  turned and rebuked them, ² 

Now large crowds ¹  were accompanying Jesus, ²  and turning to them he said,

Then ¹  Jesus ²  turned ³  to his ⁴  disciples and said privately, “Blessed ⁵  are the eyes that see what you see!

Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She ¹  turned and said to him in Aramaic, ²  “Rabboni” ³  (which means Teacher). ⁴ 

But I say to you, do not resist the evildoer. ¹  But whoever strikes you on the ²  right cheek, turn the other to him as well.

and said, “I tell you the truth, ¹  unless you turn around and become like little children, ²  you will never ³  enter the kingdom of heaven!

Now when ¹  Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus ²  had been condemned, he regretted what he had done and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders,

But Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, ¹  do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves ²  and for your children.

When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, ¹  but she did not know that it was Jesus.

Our ¹  ancestors ²  were unwilling to obey ³  him, but pushed him aside ⁴  and turned back to Egypt in their hearts,

Do not give what is holy to dogs or throw your pearls before pigs; otherwise they will trample them under their feet and turn around and tear you to pieces. ¹ 

But when Jesus turned and saw her he said, “Have courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well.” ¹  And the woman was healed ²  from that hour.

But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, because you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but on man’s.” ¹ 

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed ¹  at him. He turned and said to the crowd that followed him, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith!” ² 

Then ¹  the Lord turned and looked straight at Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, ²  how he had said to him, “Before a rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.”

Jesus turned around and saw them following and said to them, “What do you want?” ¹  So they said to him, “Rabbi” (which is translated Teacher), ²  “where are you staying?”

“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, ¹  so that they would not see with their eyes and understand with their heart, ²  and turn to me, ³  and I would heal them.” ⁴ 

But God turned away from them and gave them over ¹  to worship the host ²  of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets: ‘It was not to me that you offered slain animals and sacrifices ³  forty years in the wilderness, was it, ⁴  house of Israel?

Then, ¹  turning toward the woman, he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house. You gave me no water for my feet, ²  but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.

Both Paul and Barnabas replied courageously, ¹  “It was necessary to speak the word of God ²  to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy ³  of eternal life, we ⁴  are turning to the Gentiles. ⁵
