You have not yet resisted to the point of bloodshed ¹  in your struggle against sin.

My children – I am again undergoing birth pains until Christ is formed in you! ¹ 

He humbled himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death – even death on a cross!

They served only for matters of food and drink ¹  and various washings; they are external regulations ²  imposed until the new order came. ³ 

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation ²  will not pass away until all these things take place.

to obey ¹  this command ²  without fault or failure until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ

for which I suffer hardship to the point of imprisonment ¹  as a criminal, but God’s message ²  is not imprisoned! ³ 

For we have become partners with Christ, if in fact we hold our initial confidence ¹  firm until the end.

On the first day ¹  of the week, when we met ²  to break bread, Paul began to speak ³  to the people, and because he intended ⁴  to leave the next day, he extended ⁵  his message until midnight.

Yet death reigned from Adam until Moses even over those who did not sin in the same way that Adam (who is a type ¹  of the coming one) transgressed. ² 

until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God – a mature person, attaining to ¹  the measure of Christ’s full stature. ² 

But Christ ¹  is faithful as a son over God’s ²  house. We are of his house, ³  if in fact we hold firmly ⁴  to our confidence and the hope we take pride in. ⁵
