“I tell you, stand up, take your stretcher, and go home.” ¹ 

Jesus said to him, “Stand up! Pick up your mat ¹  and walk.”

So the Jewish leaders ¹  said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath, and you are not permitted to carry your mat.” ² 

He found there a man named Aeneas who had been confined to a mattress for eight years because ¹  he was paralyzed.

Which is easier, ¹  to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up, take your stretcher, and walk’?

And immediately the man ¹  stood up, took his stretcher, and went out in front of them all. They were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”

They ran through that whole region and began to bring the sick on mats to wherever he was rumored to be. ¹ 

Immediately the man was healed, ¹  and he picked up his mat ²  and started walking. (Now that day was a Sabbath.) ³ 

But he answered them, “The man who made me well said to me, ‘Pick up your mat ¹  and walk.’”

Thus ¹  they even carried the sick out into the streets, and put them on cots and pallets, so that when Peter came by at least his shadow would fall on some of them.

When they were not able to bring him in because of the crowd, they removed the roof ¹  above Jesus. ²  Then, ³  after tearing it out, they lowered the stretcher the paralytic was lying on.
