save yourself and come down from the cross!” ¹ 

No one ¹  has ascended ²  into heaven except the one who descended from heaven – the Son of Man. ³ 

He, the very one ¹  who descended, is also the one who ascended above all the heavens, in order to fill all things.

So he said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.

Suddenly there was a severe earthquake, for an angel of the Lord ¹  descending from heaven came and rolled away the stone and sat on it.

Then the Jews who were hostile to Jesus ¹  began complaining about him because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven,”

So Peter went down ¹  to the men and said, “Here I am, ²  the person you’re looking for. Why have you come?”

But Paul went down, ¹  threw himself ²  on the young man, ³  put his arms around him, ⁴  and said, “Do not be distressed, for he is still alive!” ⁵ 

This ¹  is the bread that came down from heaven; it is not like the bread your ancestors ²  ate, but then later died. ³  The one who eats ⁴  this bread will live forever.”

After Festus ¹  had stayed ²  not more than eight or ten days among them, he went down to Caesarea, ³  and the next day he sat ⁴  on the judgment seat ⁵  and ordered Paul to be brought.

Then ¹  he came down with them and stood on a level place. ²  And a large number ³  of his disciples had gathered ⁴  along with ⁵  a vast multitude from all over Judea, from ⁶  Jerusalem, ⁷  and from the seacoast of Tyre ⁸  and Sidon. ⁹  They came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases,

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats from this bread he will live forever. The bread ¹  that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”
