A young man named Eutychus, who was sitting in the window, ¹  was sinking ²  into a deep sleep while Paul continued to speak ³  for a long time. Fast asleep, ⁴  he fell down from the third story and was picked up dead.

When Joseph awoke from sleep he did what the angel of the Lord ¹  told him. He took his wife,

(Now Jesus had been talking about ¹  his death, but they ²  thought he had been talking about real sleep.) ³ 

And do this ¹  because we know ²  the time, that it is already the hour for us to awake from sleep, for our salvation is now nearer than when we became believers.

Now Peter and those with him were quite sleepy, ¹  but as they became fully awake, ²  they saw his glory and the two men standing with him.
