(He had four unmarried ¹  daughters who prophesied.) ² 

But whoever obeys his ¹  word, truly in this person ²  the love of God has been perfected. By this we know that we are in him.

Whenever ¹  you enter a house, ²  first say, ‘May peace ³  be on this house!’

So ¹  the king ²  said to him, ‘And you are to be over five cities.’

The ¹  words of the prophets agree ²  with this, as it is written,

In whatever situation someone was called, brothers and sisters, ¹  let him remain in it with God.

For in this earthly house ¹  we groan, because we desire to put on ²  our heavenly dwelling,

but to repeat the text cited earlier: ¹  “They will never enter my rest!”

Now ¹  by this we know that we have come to know God: ²  if we keep his commandments.

By this ¹  love is perfected with ²  us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment, because just as Jesus ³  is, so also are we in this world.

And aren’t all his sisters here with us? Where did he get all this?” ¹ 

Take what is yours and go. I ¹  want to give to this last man ²  the same as I gave to you.

They ¹  said to her, “But ²  none of your relatives bears this name.” ³ 

Then ¹  Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, “I find no basis for an accusation ²  against this man.”

For in this instance the saying is true, ¹  ‘One sows and another reaps.’

So Simon Peter ¹  gestured to this disciple ²  to ask Jesus ³  who it was he was referring to. ⁴ 

Everyone ¹  will know by this that you are my disciples – if you have love for one another.”

My Father is honored ¹  by this, that ²  you bear ³  much fruit and show that you are ⁴  my disciples.

Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.”

This is the reason ¹  I do my best to always ²  have a clear ³  conscience toward God and toward people. ⁴
