because you are attaining the goal of your faith – the salvation of your souls.

For he says, “I heard you at the acceptable time, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” ¹  Look, now is the acceptable time; look, now is the day of salvation!

For ¹  he has raised up ²  a horn of salvation ³  for us in the house of his servant David, ⁴ 

that we should be saved ¹  from our enemies, ²  and from the hand of all who hate us.

to give his people knowledge of salvation ¹  through the forgiveness ²  of their sins.

For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness ¹  and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation. ² 

And by being perfected in this way, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,

Brothers and sisters, ¹  my heart’s desire and prayer to God on behalf of my fellow Israelites ²  is for their salvation.

For sadness as intended by God produces a repentance that leads to salvation, leaving no regret, but worldly sadness brings about death.

But since we are of the day, we must stay sober by putting on the breastplate ¹  of faith and love and as a helmet our hope for salvation. ² 

For God did not destine us for wrath ¹  but for gaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those ¹  who will inherit salvation?

But in your case, dear friends, even though we speak like this, we are convinced of better things relating to salvation.

who by God’s power are protected through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Concerning this salvation, ¹  the prophets ²  who predicted the grace that would come to you ³  searched and investigated carefully.

And ¹  yearn ²  like newborn infants for pure, spiritual milk, ³  so that by it you may grow up to ⁴  salvation, ⁵ 

Then ¹  Jesus said to him, “Today salvation ²  has come to this household, ³  because he too is a son of Abraham! ⁴ 

You people ¹  worship what you do not know. We worship what we know, because salvation is from the Jews. ² 

He thought his own people ¹  would understand that God was delivering them ²  through him, ³  but they did not understand. ⁴ 

Brothers, ¹  descendants ²  of Abraham’s family, ³  and those Gentiles among you who fear God, ⁴  the message ⁵  of this salvation has been sent to us.
