And we rightly so, for we are getting what we deserve for what we did, but this man has done nothing ¹  wrong.”

He told them, “Collect no more ¹  than you are required to.” ² 

And now, brothers, I know you acted in ignorance, ¹  as your rulers did too.

For if I do this voluntarily, I have a reward. But if I do it unwillingly, I am entrusted with a responsibility.

Although they fully know ¹  God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, ²  they not only do them but also approve of those who practice them. ³ 

Neither did Herod, for he sent him back to us. Look, he has done nothing ¹  deserving death. ² 

and will come out – the ones who have done what is good to the resurrection resulting in life, and the ones who have done what is evil to the resurrection resulting in condemnation. ¹ 

Then he said to the council, ¹  “Men of Israel, ²  pay close attention to ³  what you are about to do to these men.

that you abstain from meat that has been sacrificed to idols ¹  and from blood and from what has been strangled ²  and from sexual immorality. ³  If you keep yourselves from doing these things, ⁴  you will do well. Farewell. ⁵ 

But Paul called out loudly, ¹  “Do not harm yourself, ²  for we are all here!”

So because these facts ¹  are indisputable, ²  you must keep quiet ³  and not do anything reckless. ⁴ 

Of course, ¹  I myself was convinced ²  that it was necessary to do many things hostile to the name of Jesus the Nazarene.

and as they were leaving they said to one another, ¹  “This man is not doing anything deserving ²  death or imprisonment.”

Now we know that God’s judgment is in accordance with truth ¹  against those who practice such things.

For I do not do the good I want, but I do the very evil I do not want!

to aspire to lead a quiet life, to attend to your own business, and to work with your hands, as we commanded you.

Why then didn’t you put ¹  my money in the bank, ²  so that when I returned I could have collected it with interest?’

So ¹  they began to question one another as to which of them it could possibly be who would do this.

For everyone who does evil deeds hates the light and does not come to the light, so that their deeds will not be exposed.

and ¹  Jason has welcomed them as guests! They ²  are all acting against Caesar’s ³  decrees, saying there is another king named ⁴  Jesus!” ⁵
