For she kept saying to herself, ¹  “If only I touch his cloak, I will be healed.” ² 

When ¹  they looked up, all they saw was Jesus alone.

Or is God the God of the Jews only? Is he not the God of the Gentiles too? Yes, of the Gentiles too!

But the statement it was credited to him ¹  was not written only for Abraham’s ²  sake,

Not only that, but when Rebekah had conceived children by one man, ¹  our ancestor Isaac –

even us, whom he has called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?

Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of the wrath of the authorities ¹  but also because of your conscience. ² 

For we are concerned about what is right not only before the Lord but also before men. ¹ 

They requested ¹  only that we remember the poor, the very thing I also was eager to do.

However, it is good ¹  to be sought eagerly ²  for a good purpose ³  at all times, and not only when I am present with you.

They served only for matters of food and drink ¹  and various washings; they are external regulations ²  imposed until the new order came. ³ 

But be sure you live out the message and do not merely listen to it and so deceive yourselves.

You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.

They begged him if ¹  they could only touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.

But Jesus, paying no attention to what was said, told the synagogue ruler, “Do not be afraid; just believe.”

But when Jesus heard this, he told ¹  him, “Do not be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” ² 

and not for the Jewish nation ¹  only, ²  but to gather together ³  into one the children of God who are scattered.) ⁴ 

Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, wash ¹  not only my feet, but also my hands and my head!”

“I am not praying ¹  only on their behalf, but also on behalf of those who believe ²  in me through their testimony, ³ 

(For the Spirit ¹  had not yet come upon ²  any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) ³
