And after taking the cup and giving thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank from it.

Then ¹  he took a cup, ²  and after giving thanks he said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.

I thank God ¹  that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius,

If I partake with thankfulness, why am I blamed for the food ¹  that I give thanks for?

For you are certainly giving thanks well, but the other person is not strengthened.

The one who observes the day does it for the Lord. The ¹  one who eats, eats for the Lord because he gives thanks to God, and the one who abstains from eating abstains for the Lord, and he gives thanks to God.

After he said this, Paul ¹  took bread ²  and gave thanks to God in front of them all, ³  broke ⁴  it, and began to eat.

I always thank my God for you because of the grace of God that was given to you in Christ Jesus.

always giving thanks to God the Father for each other ¹  in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

We always ¹  give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,

giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share ¹  in the saints’ ²  inheritance in the light.
