This ¹  I command you – to love one another.

They said to him, “Why then did Moses command us to give a certificate of dismissal and to divorce her?” ¹ 

He answered them, ¹  “What did Moses command you?”

for it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you, to protect you,’ ¹ 

You are my friends ¹  if you do what I command you.

until the day he was taken up to heaven, ¹  after he had given orders ²  by ³  the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen.

and said, “This is the blood of the covenant that God has commanded you to keep.” ¹ 

In the law Moses commanded us to stone to death ¹  such women. ²  What then do you say?”

By faith Joseph, at the end of his life, ¹  mentioned the exodus of the sons of Israel ²  and gave instructions about his burial. ³ 

teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, ¹  I am with you ²  always, to the end of the age.” ³ 

For this ¹  is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have appointed ²  you to be a light ³  for the Gentiles, to bring salvation ⁴  to the ends of the earth.’” ⁵ 

and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you’ ¹  and ‘with their hands they will lift you up, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” ² 

As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, ¹  “Do not tell anyone about the vision until the Son of Man is raised from the dead.”

It is like a man going on a journey. He left his house and put his slaves ¹  in charge, assigning ²  to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to stay alert.
