who says to the deep sea, ‘Be dry! I will dry up your sea currents,’

The water of the sea will be dried up, and the river will dry up and be empty. ¹ 

And by the twenty-seventh day of the second month the earth ¹  was dry.

After a while, ¹  the stream dried up because there had been no rain in the land.

Below his roots dry up, and his branches wither above.

Now it is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty land. ¹

In Noah’s six hundred and first year, ¹  in the first day of the first month, the waters had dried up from the earth, and Noah removed the covering from the ark and saw that ²  the surface of the ground was dry.

The vine has dried up; the fig tree languishes – the pomegranate, date, and apple ¹  as well. In fact, ²  all the trees of the field have dried up. Indeed, the joy of the people ³  has dried up!
