The stone which the builders discarded ¹  has become the cornerstone. ² 

For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.

including craftsmen, builders, and masons, and should buy wood and chiseled stone for the repair work. ¹ 

¹ Your borders are in the heart of the seas; your builders have perfected your beauty.

This Jesus ¹  is the stone that was rejected by you, ²  the builders, that has become the cornerstone. ³ 

Solomon’s and Hiram’s construction workers, ¹  along with men from Byblos, ²  did the chiseling and prepared the wood and stones for the building of the temple. ³ 

For he was looking forward to the city with firm foundations, ¹  whose architect and builder is God.

Do not cover their iniquity, and do not wipe out their sin from before them. For they have bitterly offended ¹  the builders! ² 

The builders to a man had their swords strapped to their sides while they were building. But the trumpeter ¹  remained with me.

Have you not read this scripture: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. ¹ 

But Jesus ¹  looked straight at them and said, “Then what is the meaning of that which is written: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’? ² 

So you who believe see ¹  his value, ²  but for those who do not believe, the stone that the builders rejected has become the ³  cornerstone, ⁴ 

Your children hurry back, while those who destroyed and devastated you depart.

They gave money to the craftsmen and builders to buy chiseled stone and wood for the braces and rafters of the buildings that the kings of Judah had allowed to fall into disrepair. ¹ 

For he has come to deserve greater glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house deserves greater honor than the house itself!

When the builders established the Lord’s temple, the priests, ceremonially attired and with their clarions, ¹  and the Levites (the sons of Asaph) with their cymbals, stood to praise the Lord according to the instructions left by ²  King David of Israel. ³ 

Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the scriptures: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. ¹  This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? ² 

According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master-builder I laid a foundation, but someone else builds on it. And each one must be careful how he builds.

A song of ascents, ²  by Solomon. If the Lord does not build a house, ³  then those who build it work in vain. If the Lord does not guard a city, ⁴  then the watchman stands guard in vain.
