And the streets of the city will be full of boys and girls playing. ¹ 

“So now, when I return to your servant my father, and the boy is not with us – his very life is bound up in his son’s life. ¹ 

Then ¹  Jesus rebuked ²  the demon and it came out of him, and the boy was healed from that moment.

But God heard the boy’s voice. ¹  The angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and asked her, “What is the matter, ²  Hagar? Don’t be afraid, for God has heard ³  the boy’s voice right where he is crying.

Now the boy Samuel was growing up and finding favor both with the Lord and with people.

“So now, please let your servant remain as my lord’s slave instead of the boy. As for the boy, let him go back with his brothers.

returned to his brothers, and said, “The boy isn’t there! And I, where can I go?”

The young men perform menial labor; ¹  boys stagger from their labor. ² 

So they brought the boy ¹  to him. When the spirit saw him, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He ²  fell on the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.

They took the boy home alive and were greatly ¹  comforted.

When the boys grew up, Esau became a skilled ¹  hunter, a man of the open fields, but Jacob was an even-tempered man, living in tents. ² 

Manoah said, “Now, when your announcement comes true, ¹  how should the child be raised and what should he do?” ² 

He said to his servant, “Run, find the arrows that I am about to shoot.” As the servant ran, Jonathan ¹  shot the arrow beyond him.

and they cast lots for my people. They traded ¹  a boy for a prostitute; they sold a little girl for wine so they could drink. ² 

God was with the boy as he grew. He lived in the wilderness and became an archer.

Then Elkanah went back home to Ramah. But the boy was serving the Lord under the supervision of ¹  Eli the priest.

Now Samuel was ministering before the Lord. The boy was dressed in a linen ephod.

But ¹  the midwives feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them; they let the boys live. ² 

Then Jonathan gave his equipment to the servant who was with him. He said to him, “Go, take these things back to the city.”

Immediately the father of the boy cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
