The Lord abhors ¹  every arrogant person; ²  rest assured ³  that they will not go unpunished. ⁴ 

Be assured that ¹  the evil person will certainly be punished, ²  but the descendants of the righteous ³  will not suffer unjust judgment. ⁴ 

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see.

And by this ¹  we will know that we are of the truth and will convince ²  our conscience ³  in his presence, ⁴ 

Then the angel of the Lord exhorted Joshua solemnly:

let us draw near with a sincere heart in the assurance that faith brings, ¹  because we have had our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience ²  and our bodies washed in pure water.

Your life will hang in doubt before you; you will be terrified by night and day and will have no certainty of surviving from one day to the next. ¹ 

But we passionately want each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness for the fulfillment of your hope until the end,

My goal is that ¹  their hearts, having been knit together ²  in love, may be encouraged, and that ³  they may have all the riches that assurance brings in their understanding of the knowledge of the mystery of God, namely, Christ, ⁴ 

I will take delight in doing good to them. I will faithfully and wholeheartedly plant them ¹  firmly in the land.’

But God ¹  drags off the mighty by his power; when God ²  rises up against him, he has no faith in his life. ³ 

I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  the one who believes ²  has eternal life. ³ 

Jesus answered them, “I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  everyone who practices ²  sin is a slave ³  of sin.

So Jesus said to them again, “I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  I am the door for the sheep. ² 

I assure you ¹  that, before God, I am not lying about what I am writing to you! ² 

Epaphras, who is one of you and a slave ¹  of Christ, ²  greets you. He is always struggling in prayer on your behalf, so that you may stand mature and fully assured ³  in all the will of God.

Fairness will produce peace ¹  and result in lasting security. ² 

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation will be held responsible for all these things! ² 

Therefore let all the house of Israel know beyond a doubt ¹  that God has made this Jesus whom you crucified ²  both Lord ³  and Christ.” ⁴ 

Then I said, “Oh, Lord God, ¹  look! ²  The prophets are telling them that you said, ³  ‘You will not experience war or suffer famine. ⁴  I will give you lasting peace and prosperity in this land.’” ⁵
