Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites,

Uriah the Hittite, Zabad son of Achli,

and Uriah the Hittite. Altogether there were thirty-seven.

The sons of Heth answered Abraham, ¹ 

When ¹  Esau was forty years old, ²  he married ³  Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, as well as Basemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite.

I will send ¹  hornets before you that will drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite before you.

I will send an angel ¹  before you, and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite. ² 

The Israelites lived among the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.

So David sent a message to Joab that said, “Send me Uriah the Hittite.” So Joab sent Uriah to David.

Now several non-Israelite peoples were left in the land after the conquest of Joshua, including the Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. ¹ 

(Now Ephron was sitting among the sons of Heth.) Ephron the Hethite ¹  replied to Abraham in the hearing ²  of the sons of Heth – before all who entered the gate ³  of his city –

The field and the cave in it were acquired from the sons of Heth.” ¹ 

Then Abraham got up from mourning his dead wife ¹  and said to the sons of Heth, ² 

Abraham got up and bowed down to the local people, ¹  the sons of Heth.

Esau took his wives from the Canaanites: ¹  Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah and granddaughter ²  of Zibeon the Hivite,

It is the cave in the field of Machpelah, near Mamre in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought for a burial plot from Ephron the Hittite.

His sons carried him to the land of Canaan and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, near Mamre. This is the field Abraham purchased as a burial plot from Ephron the Hittite.

and I have promised ¹  that I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, ²  to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’

For my angel will go before you and bring you to the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, and I will destroy them completely. ¹ 

“Obey ¹  what I am commanding you this day. I am going to drive out ²  before you the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
