Some time ¹  afterward ²  he went on through towns ³  and villages, preaching and proclaiming the good news ⁴  of the kingdom of God. ⁵  The ⁶  twelve were with him,

He ¹  said to them, “Take nothing for your ²  journey – no staff, ³  no bag, ⁴  no bread, no money, and do not take an extra tunic. ⁵ 

Now as they went on their way, Jesus ¹  entered a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him as a guest. ² 

When they had crossed over ¹  the whole island as far as Paphos, ²  they found a magician, a Jewish false prophet named Bar-Jesus, ³ 

So they were sent on their way by the church, and as they passed through both Phoenicia ¹  and Samaria, they were relating at length ²  the conversion of the Gentiles and bringing great joy ³  to all the brothers.

As they went through the towns, ¹  they passed on ²  the decrees that had been decided on by the apostles and elders in Jerusalem ³  for the Gentile believers ⁴  to obey. ⁵ 

They went through the region of Phrygia ¹  and Galatia, ²  having been prevented ³  by the Holy Spirit from speaking the message ⁴  in the province of Asia. ⁵ 

about noon along the road, Your Majesty, ¹  I saw a light from heaven, ²  brighter than the sun, shining everywhere around ³  me and those traveling with me.

They did not ask: ‘Where is the Lord who delivered us out of Egypt, who brought us through the wilderness, through a land of desert sands and rift valleys, through a land of drought and deep darkness, ¹  through a land in which no one travels, and where no one lives?’ ² 

I have been on journeys many times, in dangers from rivers, in dangers from robbers, ¹  in dangers from my own countrymen, in dangers from Gentiles, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the wilderness, ²  in dangers at sea, in dangers from false brothers,

Abraham journeyed from there to the Negev ¹  region and settled between Kadesh and Shur. While he lived as a temporary resident ²  in Gerar,

Then Abraham returned to his servants, and they set out together ¹  for Beer Sheba where Abraham stayed. ² 

God appeared to Jacob again after he returned from Paddan Aram and blessed him.

But if we had not delayed, we could have traveled there and back ¹  twice by now!”

The Israelites journeyed ¹  from Rameses ²  to Sukkoth. There were about 600,000 men ³  on foot, plus their dependants. ⁴ 

When you blow an alarm, ¹  then the camps that are located ²  on the east side must begin to travel. ³ 

Then they traveled on from Oboth and camped at Iye Abarim, ¹  in the wilderness that is before Moab, on the eastern side. ² 

They traveled from the mountains of Abarim and camped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan River ¹  across from Jericho. ² 

“You have circled around this mountain long enough; now turn north.

Joshua attacked them by surprise after marching all night from Gilgal. ¹
