How blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! They will not be put to shame ¹  when they confront ²  enemies at the city gate.

Remind me of what happened! Let’s debate! You, prove to me that you are right! ¹ 

Look, the sovereign Lord helps me. Who dares to condemn me? Look, all of them will wear out like clothes; a moth will eat away at them.

The Lord said to me: “Son of man, are you willing to pronounce judgment ¹  on Oholah and Oholibah? Then declare to them their abominable deeds!

But they did not find anything, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally ¹  two came forward

So ¹  the high priest stood up and said to him, “Have you no answer? What is this that they are testifying against you?”

Then ¹  the high priest stood up before them ²  and asked Jesus, “Have you no answer? What is this that they are testifying against you?”

So ¹  if ²  Satan too is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? I ask you this because ³  you claim that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, ¹  but that the world should be saved through him.

The world cannot hate you, but it hates me, because I am testifying about it that its deeds are evil.

Who among you can prove me guilty ¹  of any sin? ²  If I am telling you ³  the truth, why don’t you believe me?

They did not find me arguing ¹  with anyone or stirring up a crowd ²  in the temple courts ³  or in the synagogues ⁴  or throughout the city, ⁵ 

I have ¹  a hope in God (a hope ²  that ³  these men ⁴  themselves accept too) that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. ⁵
