Better is a person of humble standing ¹  who nevertheless has a servant, ²  than one who pretends to be somebody important ³  yet has no food.

The one who is slow to anger has great understanding, but the one who has a quick temper ¹  exalts ²  folly.

A person’s spirit ¹  sustains him through sickness – but who can bear ²  a crushed spirit? ³ 

So that ¹  your confidence may be in the Lord, I am making them known to you today ²  – even you.

And you will be like one who lies down in the midst ¹  of the sea, and like one who lies down on the top of the rigging. ² 

And there will be enough goat’s milk for your food, ¹  for the food of your household, and for the sustenance ²  of your servant girls.
