Why do you skip like rams, O mountains, like lambs, O hills?

He then orders it all to melt; ¹  he breathes on it, ²  and the water flows.

Drink water from your own cistern and running water from your own well. ¹ 

The one who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous ¹  will flourish like a green leaf. ²

The tongue of the wise ¹  treats knowledge correctly, ²  but the mouth of the fool spouts out ³  folly.

Insight ¹  is like ²  a life-giving fountain ³  to the one who possesses it, but folly leads to the discipline of fools. ⁴ 

The sluggard will not plow ¹  during the planting season, ²  so at harvest time he looks ³  for the crop ⁴  but has nothing.

Ointment and incense make the heart rejoice, ¹  likewise the sweetness of one’s friend from sincere counsel. ² 

Your two breasts are like two fawns, twins of the gazelle grazing among the lilies.

A shoot will grow out of Jesse’s ¹  root stock, a bud will sprout ²  from his roots.

For the waters of Nimrim are gone; ¹  the grass is dried up, the vegetation has disappeared, and there are no plants.

The nations run away when they hear a loud noise; ¹  the nations scatter when you spring into action! ²

Let the desert and dry region be happy; ¹  let the wilderness ²  rejoice and bloom like a lily!

“Son of man, say to her: ‘You are a land that receives no rain ¹  or showers in the day of my anger.’ ² 

Then I will make their waters calm, ¹  and will make their streams flow like olive oil, declares the sovereign Lord.

Be silent in the Lord’s presence, all people everywhere, ¹  for he is being moved to action in his holy dwelling place. ² 

When ¹  Jesus ²  saw their ³  faith he said, “Friend, ⁴  your sins are forgiven.” ⁵ 

Jesus ¹  said to him, “Receive ²  your sight; your faith has healed you.” ³
