God settles those who have been deserted in their own homes; ¹  he frees prisoners and grants them prosperity. ²  But sinful rebels live in the desert. ³ 

For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your children will conquer ¹  nations and will resettle desolate cities.

So now be very sure of this: You will die from war, starvation, or disease in the place where you want to go and live.”

Edom will be destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrah and the towns that were around them. No one will live there. No human being will settle in it,” says the Lord.
