So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.

For when it is time to eat, everyone proceeds with his own supper. One is hungry and another becomes drunk.

A person should examine himself first, ¹  and in this way ²  let him eat the bread and drink of the cup.

We have an altar that those who serve in the tabernacle have no right to eat from.

“And say to the people, ‘Sanctify yourselves ¹  for tomorrow, and you will eat meat, for you have wept in the hearing ²  of the Lord, saying, “Who will give us meat to eat, ³  for life ⁴  was good for us in Egypt?” Therefore the Lord will give you meat, and you will eat.

When you enter the town, you can find him before he goes up to the high place to eat. The people won’t eat until he arrives, for he must bless the sacrifice. Once that happens, those who have been invited will eat. Now go on up, for ¹  this is the time when you can find him!”

for God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will open ¹  and you will be like divine beings who know ²  good and evil.” ³ 

When food was served, ¹  he said, “I will not eat until I have said what I want to say.” ²  “Tell us,” Laban said. ³ 

Then Jacob offered a sacrifice ¹  on the mountain and invited his relatives to eat the meal. ²  They ate the meal and spent the night on the mountain.

In three more days Pharaoh will decapitate you ¹  and impale you on a pole. Then the birds will eat your flesh from you.”

They will take some of the blood and put it on the two side posts and top of the doorframe of the houses where they will eat it.

Do not eat it raw ¹  or boiled in water, but roast it over the fire with its head, its legs, and its entrails.

For seven days ¹  you must eat ²  bread made without yeast, and on the seventh day there is to be ³  a festival to the Lord.

So they gathered it each morning, ¹  each person according to what he could eat, and when the sun got hot, it would melt. ² 

Moses said, “Eat it today, for today is a Sabbath to the Lord; today you will not find it in the area. ¹ 

“You will be holy ¹  people to me; you must not eat any meat torn by animals in the field. ²  You must throw it to the dogs.

Aaron and his sons are to eat the meat of the ram and the bread that was in the basket at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

This is ¹  a perpetual statute throughout your generations ²  in all the places where you live: You must never eat any fat or any blood.’” ³ 

The priest who offers it for sin is to eat it. It must be eaten in a holy place, in the court of the Meeting Tent.

And you must not eat any blood of the birds or the domesticated land animals in any of the places where you live. ¹
