So Miriam was shut outside of the camp for seven days, and the people did not journey on until Miriam was brought back in. ¹ 

Moses said to the Lord, “When the Egyptians hear ¹  it – for you brought up this people by your power from among them –

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God. I am the Lord your God.”

He has brought you near and all your brothers, the sons of Levi, with you. Do you now seek ¹  the priesthood also?

So Moses brought out all the staffs from before the Lord to all the Israelites. They looked at them, ¹  and each man took his staff.

Why ¹  have you brought up the Lord’s community into this wilderness? So that ²  we and our cattle should die here?

Then on the next morning Balak took Balaam, and brought him up to Bamoth Baal. ¹  From there he saw the extent of the nation.

Then Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me? I brought you to curse my enemies, but on the contrary ¹  you have only blessed them!” ² 

You, however, the Lord has selected and brought from Egypt, that iron-smelting furnace, ¹  to be his special people ²  as you are today.

Moreover, because he loved ¹  your ancestors, he chose their ²  descendants who followed them and personally brought you out of Egypt with his great power

to dispossess nations greater and stronger than you and brought you here this day to give you their land as your property. ¹ 

These are the stipulations, statutes, and ordinances that Moses spoke to the Israelites after he had brought them out of Egypt,

you must say to them, ¹  “We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt, but the Lord brought us out of Egypt in a powerful way. ² 

And he ¹  brought signs and great, devastating wonders on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on his whole family ²  before our very eyes.

be sure ¹  you do not feel self-important and forget the Lord your God who brought you from the land of Egypt, the place of slavery,

Observe the month Abib ¹  and keep the Passover to the Lord your God, for in that month ²  he ³  brought you out of Egypt by night.

Therefore the Lord brought us out of Egypt with tremendous strength and power, ¹  as well as with great awe-inspiring signs and wonders.

That day the Lord brought honor to Joshua before all Israel. They respected ¹  him all his life, ²  just as they had respected ³  Moses.

They took it all from the middle of the tent, brought it to Joshua and all the Israelites, and placed ¹  it before the Lord.

They did as ordered; ¹  they brought the five kings ²  out of the cave to him – the kings of Jerusalem, ³  Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, and Eglon.
