After Isaac ¹  had been there a long time, ²  Abimelech king of the Philistines happened to look out a window and observed ³  Isaac caressing ⁴  his wife Rebekah.

After Rachel had given birth ¹  to Joseph, Jacob said to Laban, “Send ²  me on my way so that I can go ³  home to my own country. ⁴ 

After he left Paddan Aram, Jacob came safely to the city of Shechem in the land of Canaan, and he camped near ¹  the city.

Even though she continued to speak ¹  to Joseph day after day, he did not respond ²  to her invitation to have sex with her. ³ 

After these things happened, the cupbearer ¹  to the king of Egypt and the royal baker ²  offended ³  their master, the king of Egypt.

Then seven bad-looking, thin cows were coming up after them from the Nile, ¹  and they stood beside the other cows at the edge of the river. ² 

But seven years of famine will occur ¹  after them, and all the abundance will be forgotten in the land of Egypt. The famine will devastate ²  the land.

After these things Joseph was told, ¹  “Your father is weakening.” So he took his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim with him.

Any children that you father ¹  after them will be yours; they will be listed ²  under the names of their brothers in their inheritance. ³ 

After he buried his father, Joseph returned to Egypt, along with his brothers and all who had accompanied him to bury his father.

So Joseph died at the age of 110. ¹  After they embalmed him, his body ²  was placed in a coffin in Egypt.

So I will extend my hand ¹  and strike Egypt with all my wonders ²  that I will do among them, and after that he will release you. ³ 

But the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he chased after the Israelites. Now the Israelites were going out defiantly. ¹ 

When ¹  Pharaoh got closer, ²  the Israelites looked up, ³  and there were the Egyptians marching after them, ⁴  and they were terrified. ⁵  The Israelites cried out to the Lord, ⁶ 

¹ In the third month after the Israelites went out ²  from the land of Egypt, on the very day, ³  they came to the Desert of Sinai.

After they journeyed ¹  from Rephidim, they came to the Desert of Sinai, and they camped in the desert; Israel camped there in front of the mountain. ² 

“The holy garments that belong to Aaron are to belong to his sons after him, so that they may be anointed ¹  in them and consecrated ²  in them.

After this all the Israelites approached, and he commanded them all that the Lord had spoken to him on Mount Sinai.

“The priest must then perform the sin offering ¹  and make atonement for the one being cleansed from his impurity. After that he ²  is to slaughter the burnt offering,

“If the infection returns and breaks out in the house after he has pulled out the stones, scraped the house, and it is replastered, ¹
