Every blow from his punishing cudgel, ¹  with which the Lord will beat them, ²  will be accompanied by music from the ³  tambourine and harp, and he will attack them with his weapons. ⁴ 

I am the Lord, I have no peer, ¹  there is no God but me. I arm you for battle, ²  even though you do not recognize ³  me.

Look all around you! ¹  They all gather and come to you – your sons come from far away and your daughters are escorted by guardians.

I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and bring you out with all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them fully armed, a great company with shields of different types, ¹  all of them armed with swords.

But Esau ran to meet him, embraced him, hugged his neck, and kissed him. Then they both wept.

Uzziah supplied shields, spears, helmets, breastplates, bows, and slingstones for the entire army.

Deliver your people! Empower ¹  the nation that belongs to you! ²  Care for them like a shepherd and carry them in your arms ³  at all times! ⁴ 

We would share personal thoughts with each other; ¹  in God’s temple we would walk together among the crowd.

the Lord’s right hand gives victory, ¹  the Lord’s right hand conquers.

But why should you be captivated, ¹  my son, by an adulteress, and embrace the bosom of a different woman? ²
