But because of immoralities, each man should have relations with ¹  his own wife and each woman with ²  her own husband.

A husband should give to his wife her sexual rights, ¹  and likewise a wife to her husband.

To the married I give this command – not I, but the Lord ¹  – a wife should not divorce a husband

For this reason a woman should have a symbol of authority ¹  on her head, because of the angels. ² 

A person should examine himself first, ¹  and in this way ²  let him eat the bread and drink of the cup.

For if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone.

But as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Each of you should be concerned ¹  not only ²  about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well. ³ 

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer everyone.

From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. These things should not be so, my brothers and sisters. ¹ 

For ¹  this is the gospel ²  message ³  that you have heard from the beginning: that we should love one another, ⁴ 

But the soldiers replied, ¹  “You should not do this! ²  For if we should have to make a rapid retreat, they won’t be too concerned about us. ³  Even if half of us should die, they won’t be too concerned about us. But you ⁴  are like ten thousand of us! So it is better if you remain in the city for support.”

If people want to boast, they should boast about this: They should boast that they understand and know me. They should boast that they know and understand that I, the Lord, act out of faithfulness, fairness, and justice in the earth and that I desire people to do these things,” ¹  says the Lord.

This is how you should make it: The ark is to be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high. ¹ 

for I really was kidnapped ¹  from the land of the Hebrews and I have done nothing wrong here for which they should put me in a dungeon.”

“So now Pharaoh should look ¹  for a wise and discerning man ²  and give him authority ³  over all the land of Egypt.

But Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord ¹  that ²  I should obey him ³  by releasing ⁴  Israel? I do not know the Lord, ⁵  and I will not release Israel!”

But if the servant should declare, ¹  ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out ²  free,’

See here! ¹  Its blood was not brought into the holy place within! ²  You should certainly have eaten it in the sanctuary just as I commanded!”

Why ¹  have you brought up the Lord’s community into this wilderness? So that ²  we and our cattle should die here?
