She is not ¹  afraid of the snow ²  for her household, for all of her household are clothed with scarlet. ³ 

Edom’s ¹  streams will be turned into pitch and her soil into brimstone; her land will become burning pitch.

“Assyria is there with all her assembly around her grave, ¹  all of them struck down by the sword. ² 

Her prophets are proud; ¹  they are deceitful men. Her priests defile what is holy; ²  they break God’s laws. ³ 

Nevertheless the Lord will evict her and shove her fortifications ¹  into the sea – she will be consumed by fire.

He touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then ¹  she got up and began to serve them.

At once the bleeding stopped, ¹  and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.

But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why are you bothering her? She has done a good service for me.

Her ¹  spirit returned, ²  and she got up immediately. Then ³  he told them to give her something to eat.

When ¹  Jesus saw her, he called her to him ²  and said, “Woman, ³  you are freed ⁴  from your infirmity.” ⁵ 

A husband should give to his wife her sexual rights, ¹  and likewise a wife to her husband.

I ¹  have given her time to repent, but ²  she is not willing to repent of her sexual immorality.

because her sins have piled ¹  up all the way to heaven ²  and God has remembered ³  her crimes. ⁴ 

When he has made her drink the water, then, if she has defiled herself and behaved unfaithfully toward her husband, the water that brings a curse will enter her to produce bitterness – her abdomen will swell, her thigh will fall away, and the woman will become a curse among her people.

This young woman pleased him, ¹  and she found favor with him. He quickly provided her with her cosmetics and her rations; he also provided her with the seven specially chosen ²  young women who were from the palace. He then transferred her and her young women to the best quarters in the harem. ³ 

For this is what the Lord says: “Look, I am ready to extend to her prosperity that will flow like a river, the riches of nations will flow into her like a stream that floods its banks. ¹  You will nurse from her breast ²  and be carried at her side; you will play on her knees.

Shout the battle cry from all around the city. She will throw up her hands in surrender. ¹  Her towers ²  will fall. Her walls will be torn down. Because I, the Lord, am wreaking revenge, ³  take out your vengeance on her! Do to her as she has done!

ט (Tet) Her menstrual flow ¹  has soiled ²  her clothing; ³  she did not consider ⁴  the consequences of her sin. ⁵  Her demise ⁶  was astonishing, ⁷  and there was no one to comfort her. She cried, “Look, ⁸  O Lord, on my ⁹  affliction because my enemy boasts!”

And I will put hostility ¹  between you and the woman and between your offspring and her offspring; ²  her offspring will attack ³  your head, and ⁴  you ⁵  will attack her offspring’s heel.” ⁶ 

“Before I finished praying in my heart, ¹  along came Rebekah ²  with her water jug on her shoulder! She went down to the spring and drew water. So I said to her, ‘Please give me a drink.’
