Consequently ¹  God sends on them a deluding influence ²  so that they will believe what is false.

You know that everyone in the province of Asia ¹  deserted me, including Phygelus and Hermogenes.

You ought to say instead, ¹  “If the Lord is willing, then we will live and do this or that.”

Now it was for this very purpose ¹  that the gospel was preached to those who are now dead, ²  so that though ³  they were judged in the flesh ⁴  by human standards ⁵  they may live spiritually ⁶  by God’s standards. ⁷ 

They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world’s perspective and the world listens to them.

But you do have this going for you: ¹  You hate what the Nicolaitans ²  practice ³  – practices I also hate.

And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons ¹  cast them ²  out? For this reason they will be your judges.

For this reason I tell you, people will be forgiven for every sin and blasphemy, ¹  but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

For this reason I speak to them in parables: Although they see they do not see, and although they hear they do not hear nor do they understand.

He said, ‘An enemy has done this.’ So ¹  the slaves replied, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them?’

What defiles a person is not what goes into the mouth; it is what ¹  comes out of the mouth that defiles a person.”

So Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him: ¹  “God forbid, ²  Lord! This must not happen to you!”

Whoever then humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

“For this reason, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his slaves. ¹ 

For this reason I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a people ¹  who will produce its fruit.

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole inhabited earth as a testimony to all the nations, ¹  and then the end will come.

I tell you the truth, ¹  wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”

But this has happened so that ¹  the scriptures of the prophets would be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him and fled.

Jesus ¹  asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.

If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it ¹  and will send it back here soon.’”
