You have lived indulgently and luxuriously on the earth. You have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. ¹ 

– if so, ¹  then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from their trials, ²  and to reserve the unrighteous for punishment ³  at the day of judgment,

I was in the Spirit ¹  on the Lord’s Day ²  when ³  I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,

because the great day of their ¹  wrath has come, and who is able to withstand it?” ² 

And I will grant my two witnesses authority ¹  to prophesy for 1,260 days, dressed in sackcloth.

Its gates will never be closed during the day ¹  (and ²  there will be no night there). ³ 

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem ¹  in Judea, in the time ²  of King Herod, ³  wise men ⁴  from the East came to Jerusalem ⁵ 

From ¹  the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and forceful people lay hold of it. ² 

I ¹  tell you that on the day of judgment, people will give an account for every worthless word they speak.

Six days later ¹  Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John the brother of James, ²  and led them privately up a high mountain.

And about five o’clock that afternoon ¹  he went out and found others standing around, and said to them, ‘Why are you standing here all day without work?’

saying, ‘These last fellows worked one hour, and you have made them equal to us who bore the hardship and burning heat of the day.’

and will turn him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged severely ¹  and crucified. ²  Yet ³  on the third day, he will be raised.”

And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, ¹  we would not have participated with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’

“But as for that day and hour no one knows it – not even the angels in heaven ¹  – except the Father alone.

then the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not foresee,

“You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be handed over ¹  to be crucified.” ² 

and declared, “This man ¹  said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”

So they took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story is told among the Jews to this day. ¹ 

teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, ¹  I am with you ²  always, to the end of the age.” ³
